Very early in my time in Atlanta, I met John Armitage, one of the most talented and versatile photographers I have ever known. Be it location, tabletop or period book cover designs, John is quick to grab a concept and run with it.

About
It started with an 8-year-old boy, a neighborhood garage sale ― and the gift of an old Rollei camera. That boy, John Armitage, had no idea at the time that he was looking at his future. Flash forward to a high school photography class and the teacher’s comment, “You have a great eye.” What started as a hobby soon became a passion.
John did a stint in the Army to earn money for school, and then decided to turn his passion into a career. While studying Communications Photography, he originally planned to be a photojournalist. An internship with product and special effects photographer, Jack Eadon, changed his mind. This taught him control over lighting – something he had been missing.
In 1993, John made the move from Los Angeles to Atlanta, and he’s never looked back. Now he shoots it all. From cosmetics to large room sets (and everything in between), he has worked on thousands of projects. John says it best: “I’m very passionate about my photography and the entire creative process. More than just an outside vender, I am a true partner in creating amazing images to help boost your company’s visibility and sales.”
